THE LAST HOPE OF THE LOST CHILD

Jude and John are identical twins from an average Nigerian parents. Their parents did all they could to send them to the best schools and brought them up in a godly manner. Unfortunately, John decided to choose a wayward way of life. Right from their secondary school days he associated with bad companies and began to smokes all sorts of things coupled with late night parties. Jude on the other hand was very obedient, he will do all that their parents wanted. Despite this, their parents never showed love better to Jude than John. They treated them equally and loved them the same way.

All efforts made by their parents to make John realize how much they desire a bright future for him proved abortive. After their  graduation from secondary school, John frustrated their parents to send him abroad to study against the wish of their parents who had the notion that it was better for them to obtain their undergraduate qualification in Nigeria before going abroad to further their education. Their parents went ahead and got John admitted to a school in the United states of America while Jude was admitted into a federal university in Nigeria to study a four year course. Jude was an Obedient child in all respect, he made his parents happy and they satisfied him with every good things of life worth his age.

Two years after John left the country, he dropped out of school without the knowledge of his parents and changed his address. He wanted freedom and so he decided to cut off every possibility of communication from home. When the parents had made all efforts to get across to him without any positive result, they abandoned him and concentrated on Jude believing that he will return home some day.

John became stranded not so long, he has to engage in petty late night jobs to survive in a state in America as an illegal immigrant. Life became terrible for him but out of pride, he wouldn't go back home. One faithful day, he was going through his Facebook page which he had abandoned for almost four years and he saw his twin brother Jude and their parents in the graduation picture of his twin brother who had just gotten a master's degree at Brandon university Canada. With this event, John became broken, he cried like a baby and began to make plans to return home and apologize to their parents for putting them through all the troubles.

Jhon left the foreign country and returned home. He was graciously received by their parents and his twin brother Jude who had won scholarship to proceed for his PHD was happy to receive the news back in Canada. John started his life all over. He got admitted to the same school where his brother had graduated from to study a four year course.

Thank you for taking time to read this story. The parents represents God in our lives. Even when we have decided to go our ways after His good plans for us, his arms are always opened to take us back when we decide to return but the fact is, time waits for no one, it is better today than later. Jesus is calling us today.
